Description
The museum is located in an ancient stone house and is comprised of: 1. tower-and-stockade section. The riots of 1936-39 and the circumstances that produced the overnight building of Tower-and-Stockade Settlements. The section deals with the purchase of the land, on which Hanita was built, and the security and organizational problems of the new settlement. There is an 18-minute audio-visual program (in 3 languages). 2. the archaeology section exhibits finds from the area of Hanita and the vicinity, including a mosaic floor from a Byzantine church of the 6th and 7th centuries CE. The floor is exhibited together with a model of the church.
