Description
The Zichron Yaaqov museum is dedicated to the activities of immigrants who came to Israel with the first aliya. By traveling backwards in a time warp we encounter the sights and sounds of a by-gone era as different scenes and events appear on television screens and in mini movie theaters that form an integral part of the exhibition. Zachariya the seed vendor, izer the cobbler and the women water carriers are all brought to life by the work of sculptor Ora Rozenzweig, in one of many exhibits at the museum.
