Description
The Exhibitions of Yad Yaari has operated since the Center for Research and Documentation opened its gates. It presents the history of the HaShomer HaTzair (H.H.) youth movement and institutions that branched from it: HaKibbutz HaArtzi as settlement movement, the publisher Sifriat Hapoalim and the Tzavta as the cultural branch and political parties - the Socialist League, Mapam and Meretz. The permanent Exhibition is divided into several sections: a section dedicated to the H.H. as a social and cultural phenomenon; the movement’s activities and publications; the ideological world of the H.H.; the Hakibbutz Haartzi in action presents pictures from its founding period; Hakibbutz Haartzi and National Security; H.H. members during the Holocaust; the post – war period includes a collection of banners of illegal immigrants; a memorial room dedicated to the H.H. members. Beside the permanent sections there are also a temporary exhibitions.
