Description
The establishment of the museum is the realization of a dream for the community of caricaturists and comics artists in Israel and also for the tens of thousands of comics lovers who now have a permanent platform for activity in this field. The museum exposes visitors to the various facets, contexts and qualities of the art of caricature with the aim of promoting a better understanding and awareness of the need for caricatures in society. The museum encourages and supports research of caricature in Israel and its role as a reflection and critique of local reality.
The museum was conceived of by Holon mayor Mr. Moti Sasson, municipal CEO Hannah Hertzman, the Holon Theater, and the Israeli Association of Caricaturists and it is the result of great progress in these art mediums over recent years.
