Description
You are invited to visit the site where Israel’s Blue and White Flag was flown first.
Our "Flag Route" tour allows the visitor to experience this unique and heroic event.
Here, you can listen to heritage stories of this First Aliya community, the only one to be established by a single family, where early settlers were required to overcome much trouble and tragedy while manifesting great love for community and country. Here, you’ll also encounter the story of establishing and developing bee keeping in Eretz Israel.
The tour includes the historical sites of The Founders Museum, commemorating the early pioneers, "Re’uven’s Land", the History of Honey Museum, the reconstructed Antilya Well, Yesterday’s Tools Museum and a large painted Synagogue.
"Independent Switzerland" was the nickname given to the budding community of Ness Ziona, which was established in 1882.
Here, leaders of the "Yeshuv" (the body of Jewish residents in Israel prior to the establishment of the State) met, dreamt and planned the development of Eretz Israel.
